I have an iPhone 4S. I bought it unlocked from Apple's Canadian website. I'm hoping to go to Europe for a few months early next year, and I'm curious what the difference between the iPhone 4S and 5 would be if I went to Europe.

Can the 4S connect to European 3G cell networks? If I get the 5 (unlocked from Apple's Canadian site), will it be able to connect to 3G and 4G networks in Europe?

Thanks in advance for your help!

As long as its unlocked then yes, it works anywhere in the world, i got mine from uk and use it in the arab world works 100% fine with 3G networks and all :) i advisemu to get a european sim though ormits awfully expensive.
