I checked the press release for the M2 iPad Pro and I found two interesting differences:

- The M2 has 100 GB/s unified memory bandwidth (50% higher than M1)

- The neural engine in the M2 can do 40% more operations per second compared to the M1.

1. What can we do with the huge improvement in unified memory bandwidth?

2. On the neural engine front, will FaceID and handwriting recognition and other AI tasks get a big boost on the M2?

The neural engine improvement will help with apps like the paid ($95) version of Davinci resolve (the free version can't use the neural engine).
Also they state that the M2 will be up to 4x faster for ultra HD render performance (but they don't say if it's 4 times compared to M1 or to lower end iPads....)
For most apps, it will probably be impossible to notice any difference between M1 and M2.
