Difference between old and new Mac mini

hi, I have read about old mac mini and new mac mini.
I have seen that along with old mac mini "slot-loading Combo drive" was there. But with new mac mini "8x SuperDrive with dual-layer support" was there.
Can some body tell me what's the difference between above two?

The latter drive is a DVD burner, the combo only reads DVDs.

more specifically, the superdrive can read/play AND burn both CD's and DVDs, whereas the combo drive can burn CD's but only read/play DVD's........
