Looking for another USB 3.0 drive to use with a 15" rMBP.

Any difference between the Seagate "Expansion" models and the "Backup Plus" models? Looking at the 2 TB versions.

The drive mechanisms used are the same, the only difference is that the Backup Plus enclosure orients the drive vertically and tends to be a better built enclosure than the 'expansion' model.

Great - thank you!

I believe the Backup plus $10 premium includes some backup software and, perhaps more important, NTFS drivers for the Mac. So you can leave the drive in NTFS format and still read/write with both Macs and windose machines. The driver won't work for other models as it looks for a seagate drive before mounting.
