iOS Difference between variable “SELF” and “$FETCH_SOURCE” in predicate builder?

Hello

I am getting very confused of the difference between variable "SELF" and "$FETCH_SOURCE" in predicate builder when creating fetch property.

My understanding is they both refer to the object that is being compared.

Can someone explain the concept?
