Difference in recycle price from Apple

I looked into Apples iphone 5 Recycling site for two identical iphone 5's except the carrier is different. One is AT&T and the other Verizon. The AT&T has a better recycling price over Verizon. Does anyone know why ? Is it the GSM ?

Is it the GSM ?

I assume so. Newer ones can be unlocked and used on T-Mobile, etc.

The AT&T model can work on T-Mobile in the US, and also in Canada and Europe once it has been unlocked.

It's very possible because iPhone seems to be more popular on AT&T easier to re-sell? Idk

AT&T is a more sought after phone than Verizon been that way since companies started buying used phones.
