I start college in the fall, and I'm not sure which one to get. I don't mind the extra weight that the MBP brings. How noticeable are the different resolutions though?
 
What makes you say the MBP screen is higher quality?
The 13" Pro has a much higher colour-gamut than the 13" Air (77% vs 47%), but the Air appears to win on colour-accuracy and contrast (and resolution).

Depends on you. Compare them in person. As indicated above, don't assume that resolution is all that defines display quality. That's like shopping for a camera based solely on MP.
