Anybody notice a difference between glass screen protectors like souvenirs, etc and more ‘premium’ and expensive brands like zag elite, etc?

Not trying to be a smart-***, but I have had numerous brands...Zagg, Bodyguardz, etc and have found that they all shatter if impact if great enough. My mainstay for the past couple years has been iCarez and Torres. Relatively inexpensive enough to change out if broken without worry.

I've always stuck to spigen as they're decent and inexpensive. Was just curious as to whether the zagg type warranted to the increase in cost

I usually use icarez which I break or scuff up at least once every month and a half, but I switched to the imos sapphire glass and man it barley shows smudges and is as crystal clear as the first day I put it on. even tried scratching it with sandpaper and not a hairline scratch in sight. I love it

When it comes to shatter protection, I think they are all the same. When it comes to feel of the glass and the oleophobic coating, I do think brands like Bodyguardz are somewhat better than the cheaper brands.

The biggest thing ive noticed is how well they install. Some cheap ones go on with bubbles or the edges donot stay down, etc. the good ones, like bodygaurdz, go on easily with zero bubbles.

One more thing I'll add: I had been using Tethys, and it looked good, but it gave me issues with the proximity sensor. On a recommendation from someone here, I picked up the Bodyguardz and it does not cause that same issue.

Recently got an iPhone 7 and purchased an Otterbox Defender case for it. Case comes with a plastic screen protector. Screen protector is now dirty and I want to wash it. Will warm water damage it?

Might loosen the adhesive holding it on the frame.

I’ve washed them in warm water without a problem. However, I certainly don’t suggest making it a weekly thing. Once in a while you should be fine.
