I am going to get MiWi, but i noticed that there are 2 types. MiWi 4.0 and MiWi on demand. Whats the difference?

You want MiWi. MyWi on Demand is used in addition to MyWi and basically monitors devices nearby and connects automatically if another source isn't available (i.e. your home network)

Will i get charged extra by my phone company if i tether data using miwi?

ATT has been sending "warning" messages lately to people who tether without a tether plan, but from what we can tell it's only if you go crazy on the amount of data. Mostly likely more than 5-10 gigabytes and you'll show up on their radar.

Worse they can do is warn you and tell you to get a tethering plan. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I personally have never received a message from ATT.
