Hi,

Saw these two MBPs on the Apple store

1. Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 15.4-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
  • 2GB memory
  • 250GB hard drive
  • 8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
  • Built-in iSight camera
  • Illuminated keyboard

2. Standard MacBook Pro 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (New)
  • 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
  • 320GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
  • SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
  • MacBook Pro 15-inch Glossy Widescreen Display
  • Backlit Keyboard (British) & User’s Guide (English)

Is the only difference in these the slightly faster processor, 2GB ram and 70GB HDD? Is there a generation difference between them?

Price for refurb: £1029
Price for new: £1499

Thanks!

Clearly the difference includes the speed, RAM, and HardDrive. And the other is a newer model.

The refurb will have the replaceable battery and expresscard slot. The new one will have the longer lasting battery and the SD card slot.
