I sometimes see different emoticons/smilies than the standard that are offered. How are people getting these? Are they just doing something that makes the standard smilie look different or are they actually pulling that from somewhere else like with a picture from a hosting site? I don't see it a lot and was just curious.

People are hosting the images themselves and using IMG tags to use them in their posts.

But if they use the img tag then wouldn't that force the smilie to be on it's own line. I see people using them right on the text line just like a normal smilie?

[img] doesn't force a line break. The only difference from built-in emoticons like :) is they aren't vertically aligned with the text properly

<-- like that.

Can I make a motion we get a middle finger emoticon? Maybe we could do :middlefingeremoticon: ? :)

I'd also like to roll my eyes harder at people sometimes. Can we make that happen? Because sometimes  isnt enough. We need
