Knowing of the EQ settings for music where I can change it to fit the type of song I am listening to, why can't Apple have thought of allowing us to change what type of EQ I would want for each individual artist of my music library?

Reason for this is because I have some music that features more on vocals and others more on alternative, then acoustic, ect.

It would be a good idea if I can set the EQ for the specific sounds of that artist to match it.

basically pre-setting EQs towards all of my artists or albums.

i know you can set individual EQ's in itunes on OS X or windows but i'm not sure if those settings will carry over to your iOS devices, could be worth a shot though

Are you asking for volume leveling, like ReplayGain, or true EQ settings? I'm not sure why you'd create EQ settings per artist, but the app Equalizer Pro lets you create and save custom EQ profiles. You have to use their player, of course, but it's a good player.
