iPad Pro Different keyboards for 'non apple' apps?

Just upgraded from Ipad mini 3 to 10.5" pro. on 10.3.2
Noticed while using chrome I cant 'split' the keyboard, or undock...
Also keyboard is white on grey, but if I enter a password in settings or VPN, its dark grey with black letters..
Whats up? Do the other non-apple apps have different functions with the apple kb?

Grey background, White keys & Black numerals.
On: Safari, Numbers, Pages etc. Notability, Debit & Credit and MacJournal. Can't check Chrome as I won't have it anywhere near my Mac or iDevices..
Keyboard can be split on all. If already split can be closed and re-split. I keep my split keyboard on the bottom of the screen rather than the middle..
Not a lot installed on my iPad Pro 10.5 yet.
