Just got my rMBP today, and damn - this machine is gorgeous and incredible. But I noticed a couple things. The trash can icon seems like the one from ML, and a couple of my application updates tried to come in through the MAS instead of Software Update.

So I checked out the build numbers, and lo-and-behold! They were different. Is this true for everyone? [Attached are screenshots from my mid-2012 rMBP and a buddy's 2011 MBP.]

Yes, it's true. Apple had to add Hi-DPI support for rMBP version of Lion.

Everything should be unified with Mountain Lion, though. And ML should be optimized for all MBP's, including cMBP and rMBP alike so no need to have different versions of the OS for either one.
