Different ring tones for unknown and known calls?

Is there an easy way to set all calls NOT in your contact list to use a different ringtone then the default one? I'd like people I know (in my contacts) to have 1 ringtone, and people I dont to have another tone. I guess you can change the ringtones in each one of your contacts, but that is too much work.

Anyone know an easy way?

GarageBand will produce your custom ringtones, then assign each contact with a ringtone, then leave default ringtone for all other calls. That's tough for me since I have over 400 contacts.

I have custom tones already. Im in the same boat as you, i have too many to assign.

I've set about 30 different ringtones so far and I'm sure they take up some of my free space, but probably not that much, since it's about 30 seconds per ringtone.

Did u make yours with GarageBand?

Nope. I made mine in iTunes.
