i wanna get a screen protector for the iphone 4S White color right now.
I see alot of products listed as compatible for both black and white.
but from what i've seen, the white iphone has an extra hole at above the speaker.
does that mean i need to get the IPHONE 4 WHITE specific screen protector?

i am interested in halo protector on amazon,
http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Screen-P...4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1318013726&sr=1-4

Thanks for ur help!

no that is not an extra hole. it is a light sensor. you can see it on the black if you hold it up to light a certain way.... :p

yesyes, it's proximity sensor.
so, can i use any iphone 4 screen protectors for the white models?

There is no difference between the White or Black. That ambient light sensor is just more conspicuous surrounded by white.

So any 4s screen protector will work on both White and Black.

the white seems to me to have an extra hole at the top that i just can't see on the black.

Let me see if i understood,So an iPhone 4 screen protector will fit the white one?

They will all fit. That's not the problem. Some protectors interfere with the proximity sensor on the white models. The white model is more translucent and is much more sensitive to this interference. You may have to do your own testing or ask around to find it which ones are compatible.
