Different slide durations in iDVD slideshow

I would like to create a slide and video presentation on DVD that will have manual advance on each slide and video. There are 4 video clips amongst 30 slides. This is easy enough to do on iDVD. However, at the end of each video clip I would like the next slide following the video clip to come up automatically. This prevents the video being followed by a blank screen awaiting a click to show the next slide.

I would really appreciate anyone having any answer to this problem.
