The warranty says I could have my defective iPhone battery replaced free of charge within 1 year. In that case, all I have to do is go down to the genius bar and ask to have it replaced because I say it's defective? Or really have to convince the genius that its defective?

(then again if i had no warrenty and paid them $70 to do it, I'm sure they'd do it no questions asked right?)

Look at Apple.com They let you know that if the battery loses a specific % of it's capacity then they will replace it. Sounds pretty easy to me.

They'll check the usage stats. I tried and restored mine before hand figuring that they'd be more than willing to replace mine but they turned me down because there was no information about the battery usage on it.
