Purchased a 2011 17" mbp and wondering which ram is better to go with. I usually order from OWC but I don't have the time to wait for shipping plus I see cheaper alternatives out there. I'm pretty much commited to ordering from NewEgg (they're located only an hour from me) or Amazon (Prime)

I narrowed it down to:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-145-281

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231295

I never really heard of G.SKILL and although it has better ratings than Corsair I'm still skeptical.

Any recommendations? Am I even looking at the correct RAM?

G.Skill is a reliable brand, no need to worry. It's not as known as other brands, yet, but it is becoming more known all the time. If NewEgg sells it, it can't be bad. As long as RAM comes with lifetime warranty and is sold by reliable reseller, I would not worry.

I've used G.Skill RAM in couple of PCs and it has been great.
