I have a several year old MacBookPro running 10.9.1.

Yesterday I started having trouble downloading documents from the net. For example if I go to the IRS.gov website and try to download any of the tax forms, all I get is a window filled with solid black. (This is also happening with my bank and credit card statements.) This has not happened previously.

But if instead of simply clicking on the desired form or publication on the IRS.gov website, I ControlClick on the form and then go to “Save linked file to downloads”, I can retrieve the file from my “Downloads” folder and use the file.

Anyone know what I can do to correct the situation and be able to see the downloaded file in the window where it is supposed to appear?

Thanks a lot for any possible help.

Scott
