I'm calling the cops
http://digg.com

It just went down about a minute ago. Could it be because they posted the correct serial code to play HD DVD under Linux? They were shut down perhaps?

I just don't remember them ever being down before.

EDIT: Digg is now officially daed, just look at the front page.

I think someone misplaced the index file :D

the blogs are still there, and they are not liable for what people post.
they will be up soon and there will be a million story's about how digg went down on digg

Then everyone will reply to the first comment in hope of people seeing it:D

It was down for me for about 10 minutes in the middle of the night about a month ago (same 404 thing that i am getting today)

Wow. That's all I can say, this website went downhill in just 1 day.
This is insane.
Digg should just pull the plug and wait a few days (weeks? months?) for this to blow over.
That or apologies and try to resume normal activity.
Or play the "it's our site our rules" card and start deleting submissions like mad.

Apologies for what? They were told by the owner of something to take it down and they did. These people are just acting like a bunch of *******. They need to grow up and get their act together [lamers who keep posting these stories and are ruining Digg for others].

Just ban them all I say.

It appears that's just what they've done.
