I was at a friend's house the other day when I saw he had this old JVC digital camera. He said he didn't want it, so I took it home. After a few hours of searching for AA batteries all over the house, I snapped a few test pictures and plugged it into my Mac...

Nothing.

I even used Image Capture...

Nothing.

It's a JVC Model "GC-A33 Dual Mode Digital Camera".

Anyone got and tips/tricks?

According to some info online, I think that your camera's USB port might have general compatibility problems with newer generation programs. Since it doesn't have a removable memory card, you'll probably have a problem getting the pictures uploaded.
One possibility I just thought of might be an attempt at JVC's website though to find a firmware upgrade. Maybe this'll work.
Good luck though!

*I like vintage digital cameras (favorite: Coolpix 950).*
