Digital Copy on iPad?

I bought The Sitter bluray today and downloaded the digital copy on my itunes and when I tried syncing it to my new ipad it says cannot be copied because it cannot be played on this ipad? Never had this issue before...y wont it sync to my ipad? Any help is appreciated. thanks
