Digital noise/snow after MBP update

I installed the update on my 2012 MBP yesterday and ever since then I have been experiencing digital snow/noise on my display in various places. I notice it more in dark areas, it is like tiny white pixels flickering in small spots over the screen.

So is this some problem with the update, or is my video card going TU on me?

I guess I will just reinstall and hope for the best. Seems like it's a problem unique to me. Just hope it isn't hardware.

I'd try a SMC and PRAM reset before you reinstall the OS.
