Digital performer 5.1 metronome

Hi. I´m working with DP 5.1 and with a 2 way out (left - right) sound card. I´m using it in live performances. The thing is that i´m sending the audio in the normal left-right on the external sound card but i would like to send the metronome thru the MAC´s phones jack. I´ve tried many wyas of doing it but with no sucess. Does anyone knows a way of doing it? Or it´s impossible with a 2 way out sound card?

i thought about this for awhile and don't think there's a way to send a seperate metrenome to the headphone out.

what i did think of as a workaround is to send midi click out to a module and monitor that with phones. if you don't have any outboard sound modules, you can p/u a used one for cheap...just anything that has a decent click beep, sidestick or hihat sound.

not perfect, but it'll work.
