The firewire/DV port on my HDV camcorder apparently broke. It's a Canon HV20 which records to mini DV tapes. The camera also has HDMI out and Composite out.

Is there any way to use one of those output ports and digitize to my new MacBook Pro?

I haven't found any kind of composite to firewire or HDMI to firewire cable/adapter.

Is it possible to digitize/capture video through the DVI port?

The camera records in HDV so buying a cheap miniDV camera for digitizing is not a solution bc it would not be able to read what's on the tape. I'd love to find a solution that costs less than $100.

This is just frustrating to think that without a working firewire port the camera is semi-useless.

I don't believe there is anything available other than Blackmagic Design's Intensity: http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/

No. The DVI connector on your Mac is an output only.
