Dilemma which Mac, Portable!

Hi there i am in a dilemma i currently own at a Windows PC and i have had enough of using it now i am greatly swayed to a Apple Mac prefably a Laptop however i am unsure about which one to get either the Macbook or Macbook Pro. As a hobby i do some Photoshop and some Video Editing of course im aware the Pro has the 8600GT Card but the price difference is far superior due to the build of the product!!. I dont play Games to be honest and if i was i rather just get a Console e.g. a PS3 heck i own a PSP and i dont even play on that. But the Pro kicks A** but financially im unsure which one to really go for i know the specifications are hell of a difference including the Pricing!.

Please help me someone!!!.

Well, you could always get a slightly older MacBook Pro like this one. There isn't really that much difference in speed, and in real world testing it is only about a 20% difference, which isn't too bad IMO. Plus the Mac mentioned above is only $100 more than the base MacBook.
