Dim Screen

I turned on my iMac yesterday and all of a sudden it has a dim screen. Usually when the process of turning on is done, the screen is bright.

My iMac is 2 years old tops. Any ideas about what this is about or how to fix?

Okay, I'm clueless. How do I change the brightness setting?
