direct connection between Mac and PC?

Hello.

I dunno if this is even possible but can I connect a PC and a Mac with a lan cable directly, without the router?

I want to get some very big files from my Macbook Pro to my Windows 7 PC for backup but I dunno how to do it. :/

Yes.
Just enable File Sharing on the OS you want to copy to and set the appropriate access rights (WRITE access) and you should be good to go.
