A frustrating aspect of calibrating using the Apple wizard is that even when a particular icc is specified, when you choose "calibrate," it's not based off of that profile, it's based off of the original Color LCD profile, meaning you start from scratch.

After about six attempts, I have a profile I quite like in terms of color, but I regret not going all the way to a 2.2 gamma.

I see that the ColorSync utility will let you open a profile and see the tech specs -- anyone know if you can edit the parameters directly in some app or other?

I made a copy of my current .icc and would like to modify the parametric tone response curves only (as far as I know, this corresponds to gamma settings).

Thanks for any info.

PS Yes, I know, I need to get a hardware calibrator. :)
