direct ip to airport express

I am trying to setup an airport express into client mode on a secured wireless network in order to share a printer and speaker system. The network, however, is secured and does not allow devices to directly "see" each other. AKA, I cannot see any other computers, printers, etc when I am connected.

You can, however, still connect to network devices via a direct ip. Is there anyway to have "airport utility" or itunes access an airport-express this way? The device cannot be recognized/located as it is now.
