Of late, having difficulty getting DiRT Rally to finish downloading from the Mac App Store. Tried repeatedly, but it seems to hang. Similar experience with F1 2017. Other apps, however, whether humongous or tiny, have installed without a hitch.
Both of the racing games say they are compatible with our MBP.
Have you had success with either of these games on your MBP?

This issue could be with the way the App Store's download and installation process works. Please note that during unpacking and installation an App Store download requires more than double the space of the stated size of the game to install.

Although we do not maintain the App Store download process, please try the following steps that have been known to function in the past for other players facing a similar issue:
  • First, ensure you have enough free space - more than double the space required for the game - on your Mac before downloading.
  • If there is anything partially installed to Applications, drag it to the Trash.
  • Empty the Trash.
  • Reboot your Mac.
  • Open the Mac App Store.
  • Click on your account name in the bottom left corner of the App Store window
  • Look for the game in your Purchased list and click on its Install button.
Once the game installation process is complete, the extra space required will be available again on your Mac.
