My new 3.2G 8-core has a dirty audio out just like my old G4. Since ProTools isn't compatible with Leopard yet, I'm trying to use Logic with an Edirol firewire audio capture (instead of my Digi002), but get the same dirty audio signal as the mini-plug on the mac... any help out there?

Can you use the optical output?

that's my next step, as soon as I get a cable. it drives me crazy that the G5 audio out is not usable. i wonder if anyone else has the same problem...

by the way - the optical signal is clean, so that's what i'm using - thanks for the quick reply amik...

i'd still like to know why mac can't clean up their audio out signal...
