Yesterday i stopped by the apple store to pick up a new case and noticed a white incase slider in the boxing that was obviously a return...but seems they just repackaged it to resell it....but the case was filthy and even had a pubic looking hair on it lol....i picked it up to see if it was marked down or anything, but it was at regular price...i didnt think to take pics until after

yea i wasnt actually gonna buy that case but i happened to notice it and was surprised Apple would sell a product that had obvious scratches and a hair

I wonder if it had that factory-new smell?
Perhaps Incase Slider was a bit too suggestive a name for the prior owner.

When I was waiting for a Genius bar appointment, I went to the accessories section and started picking a case for my iPod. The guy next to me opened one up and put it on his iPhone, took it off and just discarded the case + box aside. He later got another box and bought that. That's probably the same story with the Incase slider.

yea i guess some people just go in and exhange their old dingy case for a new one without anyone knowing lol

By any chance did you bring it to their attention. Or did you just put it back and think it was better to post on here? Alerting the store might actually do something about the problem. Posting on here will just get responses... well.. like the ones you got. LOL

I regret not bringing it to their attention...I was concerned i myself would be getting a case that had been used, but decided to take a chance.

I opened up my bookbag at school to find my Incase Slider smashed, no iPhone inside, though. I emailed Incase customer support and told them the truth not really expecting a replacement, when two weeks later a "new" one came in the mail.:)
Long story short, the one I received from them as a replacement had lint and dirt in it (they are notorious for it), clearly it had been used, am I going to complain about it? No, I just washed it.:)

Somebody probably had the same case and went to the store to switch the old with the new.
