hi there.

i spilled water on my 2010 mbp and the display doesn't work, and the keyboard acts like command and shift are constantly pressed. logic board shows corrosion so the repair cost is too high to be worth it.
however, I'd like to use it as a desktop, because it still works when connected to an external display. i just need to run a script to disable the internal keyboard completely, and then use an external keyboard.
the thing is that I'm logged out and I can't type in my password because of the keyboard in special character layout due to cmd and shift keys being stuck.

I can however log in to the guest account and can copy paste my admin account name and password from a text file on SD card. restarting from the guest account asks for administrator name/pswd because it's still open,
BUT the text field to enter this info does not accept copy paste.

the terminal accepts copy paste - is there a way to log me back into my administrator account from there, or disable my admin password?

otherwise I'm thinking booting in target disk mode and disable my password using the host mac.

thoughts and suggestions needed!
