Disable auto-zoom during Text input?

One of the unnecessary functions of iOS4 for me is the tendency for it to zoom all the way in when inputting text on input boxes. Is there a way to disable this function?

Any news about this annoying auto-zoom? I hate it + it always make the text too big and text input (when there is alot of text) go down and behind/beyond the text box limit!
