Disable autoplay when connected to car

Hello

I use my iphone4 for navigation in my car (i have a volvo with built in usb port). Is there a way to stop the iphone's ipod to autoplay my music everytime i select usb as the car's audio source? Sometimes it's really annoying 'cause i'd like to here the navigation only.
