How do I disable the blank CD-R dialogue: 'You have inserted a blank disc... what do you want to do. Ignore...etc...'?

I check the 'always do this' box and click Ignore and it still pops up. It seems to be associated with the OS and not an app.

Have you set the option in System Preferences? Under CD's and DVDs... choose the appropriate choice for "Blank CD"... That should do it.

D'oh... sorry and thanks.

I had this problem in Panther and Tiger for years and was always too lazy to deal with it at the source, so I just clicked Ignore all the time. Somehow I imagined it to be more of a hassle to disable. Now that I have my new Mac pro, I just couldn't stand it anymore.

Anyway, I should have looked in System Prefs to begin with. Thanks-
