when I initiate a call from my AW6 non cellular (sw 8.1) the call is normally handled on the AW itself with speaker on. However if I have my AirPods pro (sw 4A402) connected the call automatically hands off to my iPhone12pro (sw 15.1.1). Problem is that if I venture out, range between phone and AirPods get critical leading to intermittent or loss of audio. If the call would have persisted on the watch all would have been fine (as long as within WiFi range). I have tried disabling handoff on both devices, disabling WiFi calling but no joy, when AirPods are in, the call always hands off to the phone. Only thing that works is switching Bluetooth off on the phone, only then the airpods stay (Bluetooth)connected to the watch and the call is not handed off. Anybody any idea how I can force calls initiated on watch to stick to the watch or deal with this situation?
