Apple has introduced clamshell mode. So when you're connected to another monitor (e.g. ACD) and close the lid, it just moves all your windows to the external monitor.
I have no keyboard or mouse attached, so why on earth apple thinks i will be using clamshell mode i have no idea. Also it's easy just to induce 'insomnia' and close the lid while staying awake (if i did ever want to do this).

This is really annoying, as i have to click alt+cmd+ eject; and as an apple customer, this is too much effort, and just annoying. Also if i close the screen before it sleeps it just moves all the windows. And if i'm in a rush, an outstretched arm can't put my mac to sleep.

Surely some genius out there can find out the terminal command to disable this feature of lion.

Thank you!
