Apologies if this is not Tahoe-specific. I'm coming straight from Mojave and haven't kept up with interface changes in the inbetween versions.
But here goes: In Tahoe some of the Finder's toolbar icons are dynamically resizing depending on the available window width. Is there a preference somewhere or perhaps a less obvious 'defaults write' to turn this off and keep them collapsed at all times until clicked on?
Especially the search field is driving me mad when trying to grab a window. You click on what you think of as empty space on an out-of-focus Finder window to drag it and now you're stuck in an input field. ...😵💫
