I just picked up an iPhone 4 today, and use the iPod function mostly in my car, where I have an AUX jack along with a Griffin AutoPilot. Every time I start my car up, with the iPhone connected via the Griffin supplied 3.5mm cable, my iPhone shows no volume bar (which suggests that it can't detect my cable).

The only way I can use it again is to insert the cable again, which is annoying and dangerous while driving.

Is there a way to disable the headphone detection system so that it outputs sound regardless of what it detects? Just like my 1st gen iPod touch.
