Hi there

I'm on High Sierra. Is there a way to disable the "identified developer" restriction from security so I don't have to go "open anyway" manually each time?

I have a small utility app (not available on App store) that I have on automatic start with macOS boot up and each time it tells me it can't open the app until I go do it manually via "open anyway" in security settings.

Which is annoying.

Is there a terminal command or some way to stop macOS doing that?

1. Open terminal
2. Enter "sudo spctl --master-disable" (without quotes)
3. Type your password
4. Quit terminal

That should do it.
Check the "Security and Privacy" preference pane.
You should see 3 options below, including "anywhere".

Wow.. I was just about to create a thread and ask about the same thing. Thank you, @Fishrrman!
