Hello,

I have a external USB Bluetooth dongle working on El Capitan on my mac. But while its working it blinks a blue led light. Its annoying. I want to disable it inside drivers but I couldnt do that.

I found its kext files under extensions

IOBluetoothFamily.kext/Plugins/CSRBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport.kext
IOBluetoothFamily.kext/Plugins/CSRHIDTransitionDriver.kext

I couldnt find any string about LED or Light, I think I have to add a new string to disable led but I dont know what is it exacly.

Anyone has any idea?

Thanks.

Can you colour the light with permanent marker or put a piece of tape on it? This is much simpler and you can get it to be dimmed instead of turned off if you want.

Otherwise I doubt OSX controls the light so you likely won't find anything in a kext. My guess is that the control is internal to the device (like blinking when in use) or it is a simple power light so it doesn't have any control.
