My MB's trackpad button is spoilt, I think there's something wrong with the spring which makes it unclickable and sometimes remains pressed.

Is there anyway to disable only the trackpad button but not the whole trackpad? Tapping still works, but the MB mistakens it as dragging sometimes because the button is stuck as a pressed button.

I realized why my black macbook trackpad button isn't working. The battery is bulging. Can I still replace my battery for free (the recall thing seems to have finished a few years ago)? It looks like it'll explode in my face if I keep using it.

If the battery is bulging, bring it in. It's a defect, that you can't have caused, so the should replace it, but I don't know about if it's off warrant. Have a try, if it's convenient.

I don't recall, if Apple ended a repair programme years ago, as the MacBook is only three years on the market yet.
