I'm a long time mac user (since 1994) but I've stumbled across something I cant figure out how to do, or if it's ever possible. Just recently got an HDTV with a fancy VGA port. I have no issues with the dual monitor setup (other than the fact the HDTV is picky with resolutions/refresh rates). But what I want to know if it's possible to just disable a video port in OSX when the TV is turned off or I don't want to display to it. The tv still shows up on the list even when turned off. Any one else find a solution?
