I was wondering if its possible to make mac to NOT wake up the monitor from sleep mode when connecting to my mac mini via Google remote desktop or Anydesk?

Everytime when i connect, my monitor wakes up from sleep mode, which is pretty annoying since i dont need it to wake up.

Note: I still need the monitor to be in sleep mode, so i cant turn off the monitor completely.

MacOS doesn’t have a built-in way to stop that from happening. One thing you can try is turning off the "Wake for network access" option in your Energy Saver settings. That might help, but if not, some people use a dummy HDMI plug, which tricks the Mac into thinking there's always a display connected, even when it’s asleep.

monitor has to be connected/enabled for there to be a framebuffer to capture I believe. Best you can do is turn off the backlight. Hopefully your monitor supports DDC which you can use to control the brightness.
