Are you sure about that? The ultra wide gives a much larger view than you get in the “extra” screen image.
It also blacks out sometimes, even when nothing obstructs the ultra wide lens so I also don't think it's to show what the wider lens can capture. To me it looks like it's there to show that /capture outside the frame/ WILL kick in but in this case - having it turned off - it makes no sense.
Also as
@StumpyBloke mentioned, when turned on, it doesn't show you exactly what /capture outside the frame/ will grab when it's on. Sometimes it will capture less, sometimes more...
I always appreciate upgrades to the camera, but... it's a mess. Additionally:
- lack of knowing when deep fusion is on
- having to choose between deep fusion and capture-outside-the-frame
- no quick switch between those two modes, you have to go through settings
- no nightmode for 0.5x and 2x
- when object is close at 2x it switches to 1x with digital zoom without telling us
- quick video isn't 16:9
I only upgraded from XS for the camera and it feels like android-level, half-baked product, surely not a PRO...
