Disable Quick Look Animation?

It was possible to disable quick look animations in older versions of OS X, but it doesn't seem to work in El Capitan. Does anyone know how to disable the zoom animation. My computer seems to drop a lot of frames when using quick look. It's almost as if I see the start of the zoom and the very end of the zoom, but no frames in between. It's quite weird looking (even Yosemite showed the entire animation).
