Hi there,
I purchased an aluminum macbook several months ago and recently I was on a ferry and did the dumbest f***in' thing and dumped cola on my keyboard. I was able to clean it up by removing and destroying some of my keys. The behavior I got at first was that the command key was permanently locked. After cleaning out the lower surfaces with some ISO alcohol, the key lock disappeared and I re-installed my command key which was/is working fine.
The problem I am having is that after a certain amount of time the key will lock itself which is easy to remedy (just hit the command key and it will unlock). This is a major problem though because my macbook won't stay asleep ever. I close the lid, it sleeps for a while, then the key problem will rear its ugly head and then it goes through a constant sleep/wake cycle which drains the battery really fast. So, what I need to know is whether there is a way of fully disabling the right command key only?
Thanks to any who are willing to help.
I know this is a macbook issue, but it is actually fundamentally a general mac question.
